Donations of Home-Grown: Produce, fruit, berries and/or herbs                              

Accepted:  8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday

Food is Distributed:  9:00am-11:00am, on Monday and on Friday to residents of Jackson County.  Food Pantry low income, proof is not required.  Food Pantry 484 families including 1410 individuals per month. 

Meals are Served in the Soup Kitchen:Daily including weekends  8:00am, 11:30am and 5:30pm.  Soup Kitchen serves the residents of the Shelter and hungry persons from the community.  Soup Kitchen 3113 individuals per month

Other Ways to Help:

Volunteers at the Food Pantry stock shelves and fill orders from 9 to 11, Monday and Friday, at the University Baptist Church, 700 S Oakland.  The Food Pantry provides canned goods and perishables to people in need.  Area churches and civic organizations provide food and augment federal commodities.  We also need volunteers for pick-ups.  The Food Pantry Coordinator is JoAnn Grammer, 457-5794.

Volunteers in our Shelter Kitchen pick up food and help prepare and serve it.  Meals are served at 8:00, 11:30 and 5:30, at 701 S Marion.  We provide nutritionally balanced meals served three times a day, every day of the year, to residents of the emergency shelter.  We also welcome people from the community who are hungry.  The Kitchen Coordinator is JoAnn Grammer, 457-5794.

Volunteer in the Emergency Shelter transport and assist clients and also answer phones between the hours of 9am-5pm.  The Emergency Shelter has the capacity to house 30 persons and is in operation 24/7, at 701 S Marion.  The Shelter Coordinator is Angel Wilson, 457-5794.

Donations of Home-Grown: Produce, fruit, berries and/or herbs, eggs                          Accepted: Fridays between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, or call Jan for an appointment

Food is Distributed: Fridays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm to residents of Galatia and Raleigh. The Galatia 4-Cs serves approximately 8 families each week. Requirements for people to receive food:  May receive assistance every 30 days. Identification required.

Other Ways to Help:  Volunteers are always welcomed. Call for more information

Other Ways to Help: Volunteers are always welcome and there are several ways to get involved.
